The Pentecost
How will you spend your Pentecost 2019?
As the word itself says, fifty days after the Resurrection of Christ or Easter, Pentecost falls.
This year, for example, will be on Sunday, June 9th 2019.
This festival celebrates the descent of the Holy Spirit in the Upper Room on the Virgin and the Apostles, and is celebrated differently according to the countries in which it is still remembered.
Some people drop down from the roof of the church a doves and throw coals on the floor to symbolize the descent on the Holy Spirit;
Others drop rose petals and other flowers during the Mass of Pentecost.
In Italy it's no longer celebrated, but in other countries such as, for example, Switzerland, Belgium and Germany is still commemorated.
Parents, on the occasion of this important holiday, take advantage to bring their children on holiday to the sea, where the first rays of sun already begin to warm up yet there is no overcrowding.

Yes, because in June the first warm sunny days start and the first tanning starts too. Why not spend the pentecost 2019 with your children at sea, building sand castles and tracks for marbles without the summer heat! How'll you pass it?
